Applications

Ideal for making Puttu, a breakfast delicacy in south India. Puttu is made from rice or ragi flour, cylindrical in shape, and steamed to retain the nutrients of the grain. It can be served sweet with sugar, ghee and grated coconut, or savory with kadala curry, cherupayaru curry, vegetable stew, pappadam, ripe banana, egg, fish or meat curry.
